Tollefsen Law looks for employees that are
disciplined and self-motivated. Superior organization skills are
required. Our paralegals are given as much authority and freedom as
possible while remaining under the proper supervision of lawyers. We
ask paralegals to draft memorandum, do legal research, and draft
legal arguments. Our advanced communication and computer network
systems allow employees to work seamlessly from home or in a mobile
environment.
Tollefsen Law is a “paperless office.”
Documents are scanned and filed electronically. All cases are
managed electronically allowing staff to access complete information
from any computer any place in the word. Potential evidence is
managed by computers and electronically identified with appropriate
issues in the case. Declarations, timelines, and trial exhibits
become easy to produce and the chance that evidence or arguments are
missed is reduced. In addition to in-house resources,
Tollefsen Law has searchable access to all state and federal law and cases. It has
thousands of treatises and law journal at its disposal. These
services are part of TLO overhead and are not charged to clients
except in extraordinary circumstances and with prior client
approval.
Tollefsen Law has state of the art
communication equipment including forwarding voice mail by email and
forwarding faxes through its fax servers by email to its staff.
Staff have IP extension phones in their homes to offer maximum
telephone availability.

installed on Tollefsen Law servers: Amicus Attorney Professional ,
Master File, Evidence Cruncher, Lotus Notes database, MS Sequel
Server, MS Terminal Server, Amicus Accountant, Adobe Acrobat
Professional, MS Exchange, and MS Office 2007 Enterprise Edition.
Tollefsen Law uses WestLaw, Loislaw, and other vendors for research services.

Our compensation system is tied to productivity
and success. We pay employees a percentage of their billable time
plus a percentage of their collected fees. Competent employees can
earn substantial incomes while enjoying the freedom of working from
home. At this time, we do not offer medical insurance because
employees are generally covered through their spouses. The cost of
medical insurance is passed on to the employee in compensation.
